Phishing is an online scam where someone tricks you into revealing personal information, like your login credentials or bank account numbers. The goal of a phishing attack is to exploit your trust, so you'll do something you wouldn't ordinarily do, like divulge your login information or financial data. Phishing emails often look official and are designed to look like they come from a trusted source. Be especially careful of emails that ask for your personal information in order to activate a product or service. Always verify the authenticity of an email before giving out any confidential information.

How To Spot Phishing?

Ways to identify phishing and spoofing emails include:

  • Links that appear to be Creatosaurus links but aren’t: When you hover your mouse over a link in a warning email, your browser's pop-up or messaging app may display the destination URL. Make sure you go to https://www.creatosaurus.io/ only this. Any other link would be a fake link.
  • Emails that don't come from an @creatosaurus.io email address: All legitimate emails from Creatosaurus will come from an @creatosaurus.io email address. In case you receive a form address which is the email address of someone you know, that person's email account may have been compromised — Creatosaurus does not send emails from our users' email addresses.
  • Asking for personal information: . Creatosaurus emails will never ask you to reply in an email with your password, credit card number, or any other personal information.
  • Emails sent through website contact forms: Creatosaurus will never try to contact you via your website's contact form.
